1  Screen Tablet malarky / Monitors / Re: N150P3-L01 = No picture on: May 08, 2011, 12:40:50 PM
When i say blank i mean black (assuming it's never true black). It seems that when posting it flashes as if passing to all normal phases but no image appears. Even when green led is on.

Hooking it as a second monitor when in windows results in red LED. Restarting windows: when in post the green led comes up but as soon as it enters on windows log, the led turns red.

I don't think it's a CCFL problem because when OSD goes to sleep it can be reactivated by pressing menu.

The OSD has:

color
picture
function
osd menu
misc

I'm only allowed to access the last 2 items. It skips the first 3... The OSD menu has nothing relevant to change and the MISC has "input"(lets me choose DVI or VGA) and "mode select" the "mode select" has 640x400 720x400 but i'm unable to change those either.

Thanks for you reply bernard! What do you mean by resolution reported by windows? The screen is completely blank. No picture whatsoever. I can see some flashing going on when windows is booting but no picture comes.

Only when the LED turns red (stating "no signal" on screen) it lets me get access to the OSD menu and only for a few seconds until it shuts off. When that happens, on top of the OSD it says something like 0 x 0Hz (i don't know exactly).

Hi bongofishers,

I'm trying to solve this with njytouch but was wondering if any of you has been faced with the same issue.

I ordered a R.RM5451 LCD Controller Board Kit along with a DVI cable that they programmed to the N150P3-L01 IPS panel.

Plugged it, green LED comes on but no picture shows. Screen stays black and green led stays on. No access to the OSD menu. If i shut down pc, the led changes to red. If i turn it on led changes to green but again, no picture.

Is this a sign of incorrect programming of the controller board?

Thanks in advance Wink

Why don't you try the Wacom Tablet Properties? There's a mapping option that allows you to select the tablet area and screen area. Mess with those values.

Yeah bernard. I've read horrible reviews from the InvisibleShield ones in that sense. They're good for the ipad's/iphone stuff and that's it. They were not designed for pen use.

On the other hand the Strong Engineering ones have a "paper feel" to them. I recall a post from someone stating that on the concept art forum i think. Still trying to find a 1mm thinck acrylic but the screen protector idea came to my mind today.
6  Screen Tablet malarky / Monitors / Good Screen Protector? on: April 03, 2011, 07:40:14 PM
Can anyone recommend a good screen protector? Instead of using a 2mm thick plexiglass on top of my future dyi cintiq lcd i was thinking of using one good thin screen protector.

I've heard of:

NuShield

InvisibleShield

and Strong Engineering

I have a B154PW01 (LP154WP1) LCD without the CCFL tube if anyone's interested. Along with this i can include the NYTOUCH RM 3251 LCD controller board (without power supply).

PM me if you're interested.

Hi bernard!

Yes, the CCFL is broken. I broke it myself without any help Smiley It's replaceable indeed i know. But since i don't have the intuos 4 there isn't much use i can give to it. Will put on the trading post as suggested. Thanks!
9  Screen Tablet malarky / Monitors / Intuos 3 A4 with IDTech IPS on: April 01, 2011, 11:13:15 PM
First post! Well... second actually.

Ok, having an impecable Intous 3 A4 laying around I stupidly enough ordered an AU OPTRONICS B154PW01 without reading carefully the tabletmod instructions who indicated both BOE HV150UX1-101 or B150XG02... damn it! Smiley

Well actually the one that arrived on the back said "LP154WP1" but the seller said it was the same as the AUO... I don't think it is... Nevertheless i decided to test it and unfortunately i also ended up breaking it's CCFL tube, but it functioned perfectly without any jitter at all. With or without the CCFL Smiley

Seeing the K-Jintiq project, i ordered an IBM THINKPAD T42 N150P3-L01 also S-IPS (this time the correct sizing) for what i think was a great price of 45€ (USPS first class postage included).

Result: I now have a B154PW01 (LP154WP1) without the CCFL tube if anyone's interested. Along with this i can include the NYTOUCH RM 3251 LCD controller board.
