Changing the backlight?  Maybe once every billion (5-10) years.
I believe he either hooked up an extra power adapter or connected it to the lcd supply.

Made that, not my best, but I love it.  Firefoxy lol

What i mean about the black light is do you have to replace it for the build. A lot of people go for the LED set up.

I use the original backlight, the lights themselves were in metal casings which I removed.
The cooler is hardwired to the power from the input socket.  I soldered the leads straight onto the back of the board.  Not very elegant,  it was going to be temporary, but I'm paranoid about opening it again in case it doesn't want to go back together.    Roll Eyes
