Here is a challenge for you. Cool

Create a large size cintiq greater than 18" with led backlights and programable buttons that are placed along the side of the build that can be adapted to use with various programs. Changing the program and incorporating the new button scheme automatically. As a bonus, incorporate a foot pedal that acts as a zoom function for drawing programs. Suck on that for a day and have a mock-up to me by Monday. Cheesy.

To easy, I already did a 15 inch with the buttons an all a pedal an a bit of a custom program. Too easy. Your talking to a vet here.

I want something with Soldering to practice really. Something small, any cool mouse mods out there? Wireless perhaps?

Simplest mouse mod.

Desolder the led on an optical. Replace led.

YOU WIN!

Why buy today what you could build tomorrow?

Solder up some LED strips like mine, haha. That will get you some nice practice.

1 resistor per LED. 2 solder joints each for the LEDs and resistors.

I had 114 LEDs, so multiplied by 4 you get 456 joints. Add to that the number of PCBs I had to join by soldering wires, and the attached power leads for each strip, I'm probably sitting pretty at around 500 solder joints total.

Use 'em to, I dunno.... light up your car's glove box?

I got this today:

Prepare for some serious wood working! My old desk is now getting recycled as my Router Table. Im going to mount my router upside down on it an put in some slide-able guides an stuff.

And as for soldering, I soldered on a new DC power connector to a Laptop Motherboard, when I was finished it looked like it had come out of the factory!
