Hi All.
I'm starting to get frustrated as I'm still waiting for my ffc cable and connector. I'm sure many of you guys have experience buying from DIY beamer.
What's the usual delivery time?

pretty quick usually, I got mine in less than a week IIRC. It would be worth emailing. The guy there is pretty cool.

Yeah, another vote for 'really quick.' I do believe it was less than a week.
The customer service there is great. He really seems to try his best to take care of his customers.

My first order was lightning quick. (Like less than 2 weeks.) My last order was made on Feb. 6 and well it's Feb. 27th (as of today) and I sit with no response to e-mails and no order recieved. If it was not for Switz and doing an exchange I would be at a halt. They did however have no problem processing my paypal account. As far as approval ratings go I am currenly sitting at 50/50. Great googly moogly I'd be really understanding if DIY-Beamer just said that they were out of an item and were reordering, just e-mail me and let me know. The thing was supposed to have come expedited post (at least that is what I paid for...) Right now, I am in limbo with no FFC or PCB connector and an e-mail 3 weeks old saying that my order has shipped. WTF?  Monarch |

They are in Austria and anything could get held.

That's interesting. When I needed to contact them, Gerhard got right back to me.
I ordered the FFC, and then realized I forgot to order the connector. The next day I ordered the connector as a separate order. Not only did Gerhard ship them both in the same package, he refunded the shipping cost of the second order without my even asking. I saw that the refund had shown up in my Paypal account with a short message from him explaining what it was for.
I don't think I've ever dealt with another company that would've voluntarily refunded money without even being asked, let alone money that they had every right to keep.

Thanks for the info on this guys. I emailed and got a response saying it had defo been shipped.... but still no cable.
I'm teetering on the edge of saying fuck the ffc cable and getting the soldering iron out.

Focus on some other aspect of your build. Work on the case or something. Be creative. Patience is key here.

He was great for me too, hes obviously a heavy pipe smoker (Not like crack!) because my packages always smelled strongly of smoke!
Id say if your having troubles have to hope nothings happened to the guy, DIY Cintiqs would be at a standstill with out him!

For me it was quick:
- ordered on-line the march 02
- arrived today the march 06
Wow! Ok, the Austria and Switzerland are neighbouring countries, it's easy for me! BUT the Swiss customs are often so lazy that you wait minima one week...
