Why buy today what you could build tomorrow?

A buddy of mine sent this to me a few days ago. They aren't going to try to incorporate this and their pen tech into a single tablet at the same time, are they? Wouldn't you be driving it crazy every time your hand touched the surface?

maybe the skin input is rejected when it senses a pen being used?  Or maybe it's smart enough to distinguish  a palm from a finger tip.

I was thinking about those possibilities, and either seems only somewhat viable.

If it were the former way (sensing the pen being used), as soon as you picked your pen up the cursor might jump to your hand. Of course, that would only be if you picked the pen up out of the sensor range, which might not be as intrusive because you'd almost have to lift your hand off the tablet to do that anyway.

And sometimes when I draw, only my pinky drags along with the pen, so that could still be an issue even if it can differentiate between fingers and palms.

I guess we get to wait and see!

It probably will have the touch strip like thing that can change it back and forth.
