I am currently in the process of building my own Cintiq clone using a Wacom Intuos2 12"x9" tablet and a Compaq TFT5030 15" monitor.

I am logging every step of the build at http://psychoticneurotic.com.

Hopefully, when finished, I'll put together a PDF file of the complete build. In the meantime follow my progress at psychoticneurotic.com and feel free to leave comments.

Good show!  I look forward to seeing another build progress.  Just make sure you post here in this thread to let us know when you've updated your blog Tongue

I really enjoy the commentary at your blog, it's quite entertaining.

Before you crack anything open try drawing with the tablet on top of the monitor, just to see if there might be any jitter problem.

Thanks for the tip - I remember reading this on the forums - but forgot all about it!  Roll Eyes

Maybe I should look through the forums again before I get the screwdriver set out!

Next update is available at http://psychoticneurotic.com

I took the monitor apart completely, realised I forgot all about Bhrazz's opening gambit even tho Drew reminded me, put it back together and then wrote and all about it.

This update contains some detailed instructions about taking the monitor apart - of course this is only applicable to my particluar monitor - but it does serve to remind me about how to put it back together!

Thanks for the continued interest.

Nicely documented there.   Things are looking hopeful I think. It is a good patience builder isn't it.
