I'm currently at the point of making a decision on the screen.  I can purchase a nice 550 NIT XGA panel that has the controller and power source already with it for ~$45 right now...but, I have the overwhelming temptation to go for a UXGA screen from a Thinkpad or Dell Inspiron/Latitude - I am currently waiting on the guy at Agilent Pixel to email me back as to whether he has any controller kits that will work with either of those screens.

I might just go ahead and guy the XGA unit either way.  I can always change the screen to a UXGA unit once I get the necessary components and then resell it.

UXGA you said? Do you have the LCD Panel brand & model? Is it the same you already mentioned earlier?

The part number of the one I'm most commonly seeing on Ebay (and the most reasonably priced) is LQ150U1LH22 and it's from the Inspiron/Latitude laptops.  I can't seem to find a manufacturer listed other than Dell.

After reading back though Wei's iTab build, I'm worried about his resulting jitter at 1600x1200 when he tried it with a MacBook Pro (which I happen to use).  Is this a common theme with higher resolutions?  I think that Chems used an XGA display...

I won the XGA screen I was bidding on for $25 shipped!  Grin  It seems pretty much perfect for this application, so I'm definitely happy.  Here's the ebay link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190369652289 Let me know what you guys think!

The LCD came in!  I'm going away on vacation tomorrow, so unfortunately I'll have to leave it sitting for the next week and a half, but at least I've got something to encourage me to return to cold New England from sunny Puerto Rico  Grin

Here's a crappy cell pic of the pieces to my sim-tiq puzzle:

It should be nice to at least get to do work in the sun (naturally, I have urgent work to get done when we go on vacation), but I'll likely find some time to enjoy it.  Smiley
