Ok so sparked by abeyance I've decided to share my knowledge of Powerstrip and produce a tutorial hopefully covering the important aspects of this piece of software with regards to building a DIY Cintiq. This tutorial does not cover Powerstrip in any detail outside of configuring the display profiles. I do not take responsibility for any damage to hardware (yourself or others) which may result from acting upon the information provided. I hate all that liability stuff but I don't want to be sued by somebody that pushes things too far and breaks something, especially when I'm just trying to help people out.

So with all that out of the way let us begin. Right click on the Powerstrip icon in the taskbar, navigate to 'Display profiles' and click on 'Configure'. You should then see the following screen.

Click on the 'Advanced Timing' button to be taken to the following screen. From now on information is provided in the images themselves with additional comments added later when relavant. Also, I have broken the following screen into sections to help explain the various parts more easily.

I've written here that modern panels use a TMDS module, but the alternative is the ever popular LVDS. Both LVDS and TMDS are both differential signally methods so are similar in that respect but each have their own benifits. I'm not going to go into detail on this here but a quick search on the net will clear things up if you're looking for further explanation for the different types.
