Hi all,

I have some stuff lyin' around so I wanted to have a go at making my own cintiq. But I have a question.
Why does the power supply has to be external, is it a space-issue or a safety one? Huh

It doesn't have to be external necessarily, but the power supply can be a source for interference, causing jitter.
There are several builds with internal power supplies that work beautifully.

It is mostly for jitter and space issues, since many people go with using the tablet casing itself.

As for jitter, I think a good shielding can fix the interferences generated by the PSU.

I certainly hope it is true since I am building one with an internal PSU xD
