Hi, I've been lurking, trying to learn enough to tackle my own build, and I thought maybe this tip would be useful.  I have an app called the 'tricorder' on my android, and it has an EM scanner on it.  Maybe that would be useful for people to check out different monitors at the local computer monitor selling places.  I might do it this weekend.  Should get some interesting looks from people at least.

What's that EM scanner doing exactly?

Apparently, it uses the phone's sensor to measure the strength of electromagnetic field.  Lower EM fields are good, right?  Isn't that why people wrap everything in foil?

Certainly be interesting to see if it works as a proper tool.

I'll take some readings of my build when I start it (next week, hopefully).  Based on that one piece of anecdotal evidence, we should be able to bury this jitter problem.  Wink
