Does anyone know if you can extend an FPC cable with an FFC extension? (available from Digikey, DIYBeamer, or similar)

I've included pictures of my setup:

The bit of orange stuff on the ZIF in this picture seems to be a tiny bit of tape, not a problem.  (Tested the monitor fine.)

I think it's a 17 pin, 9.5mm, (0.5mm pitch) though there are 2 on the very outsides, so it might be a 19pin.

This is for a BOE HV150UX1-101 UXGA monitor.

I need to extend it 2 or 3 inches... 8|

Thanks!
Steven

Well I took a closer look (turned it over), and it turns out it's an 18 pin.  Smart, huh?

yes, this is exactly what people have been doing and exactly why DIY-beamer sells those: to extend FPC using FFC.
