I just finished putting my DIY Cintiq case together. The case is black plexiglass. When the glue dried however, there were a lot of stains due to the glue. I guess the fumes from the glue stuck to the plexiglass as it dried Huh. (You know like in the movie where Eddie Murphy uses Super Glue fumes to develop fingerprints)

Any ideas how I can remove those stains/fingerprints from the plexiglass without damaging it too much?

Best regards,

Google search says that acetone based nail polish remover is a good solution:

I'm not sure how the nail polish remover reacts with plexiglass though, so you'll have to try it out on some throw-away piece. Superglue can be scraped off too, but that is not a good solution if you want to retain the glossy surface and don't want to scratch it up.

Lastly, superglue has been used to develop fingerprints in real forensics, not just by Eddie Murphy  Tongue
