Hi guys,

I know a few of you including myself are looking at these for our 12x19 builds.
I've just found out these are about to be replaced by ips225 and ips235 models?

You guys think its better to get the IPS226v or wait for the new ones?

I'm surfing on my phone so I'm limited a bit but I don't see much difference. I think maybe the color representaion is better. What did you find? I don't plan on doing any photo editing or color specific stuff so if that is the only difference it may be a moot point. For me anyway. There is a eBay vendor selling the 23" 6 series refurbished here in the states for a good price. I will go that route I think.

What are the differences between them? If they're already LED-backlit and IPS, i don't see what else can be the advantage.

The only thing that I can see is the new ones are a bit more expensive?

The connectors round the back are pointing downwards so maybe a LCD driver board change?

Also the powersupply might be internal, this is the biggest factor for me.

I saw a test somewhere, and comparing the results, the new version is not as good as the old... but it's cheaper ! ...in theory.
