Been lurking here for a while but I'm now confident I have the knowledge and skills for a DIY build. I bought my talented artist wife a UD1212 over a year ago I think, used it with Opensuse 11.2 and Gimp (fine until an update ruined the driver), not knowing it had tilt support lol! I then found out it was now supported in win XP so have installed that and corel painter trial. She loves it and the tilt support too.
I bought a 2nd hand 22" monitor for other purposes, only for it to be faulty and then I got a refund on the monitor. I was messing about with it last night, testing the interface, using another power supply, when I noticed 2 blown capacitors. I replaced them and monitor is fine now! Trouble is, my wife loves the 22" (FREE!) monitor!
So instead of using a lowly 17" monitor for the tablet build, I'm wondering if anyone wants to swap for the bigger size? Might even throw in the monitor for free. However, it does have has a small chip (2mm ish) in the glass and is only VGA input. Available for around £15-20.
Long shot I know but you never know!
Thanks for reading, Kristyon.
