It is made with wood with acrylic that is covered with a screen protector for the drawing surface. Inside is the njytouch controller board programmed for the lp150e05 a2k1. The wacom component used it the intuos 2. I run the refresh rate at about 53 as this seems to be the best option for jitter. I get about a 1-2 pixel jitter.

My original plan was to thermoform acylic, but I must say, stay away from that. Its a good idea, but acrylic is really hard and brittle. It likes to crack when under a vacuum. Stick with the pretty standard abs plastic as it is strong, easy to thermoform, and durable. I still have my mold, and I think I may thermoform when i get a sheet of abs plastic.

Hope you like.

How is it arranged in the back?

The white bands is electric tape?

what is the size of the intuos2 and the size/resolution of the LCD?

The wood is created to house everything. Its about 1.75" deep. I painted everything black, and I used a router for the slots for wires and controlls. Here are some images.

As for the tape, it is artist tape used to mount the screen protector. I ordered the screen protector from strong engineering, but I ended up having to remove the adhesive. It had bubbling issues, and it wasn't until later that I found out it was because of the humidity in the air, but It was too late by then. I'm actually going to remount it with some rubber cement soon.

This is the standard 9x12 intuos 2 coupled with the 15" ips panel that is 1400x1050 pixels. The panel is great, its just that it has a slight color burn on the corner of the screen about half in inch long by a quarter inch wide. I don't really plan on building a new one, as this works perfectly for me. Maybe down the line, I may build a new one, or even buy one, but until then, this thing is what I always wanted.

Can I ask what panel it is?

Also I'll host the pics locally to prevent losing them further down the line. Smiley

I like the easel by the way - very meta

Oh hey drew, its the same panel of the k-jintiq. LP150E05-A2K1 panel. I have an intuos 2 underneath it all. feel free to host pics locally. I upgrades to a new, tape-less version, but i have no camera atm.

For anyone interested, i'd like to point out something that I have suspicions of regarding jitter. On my wacom, the further the pen is from the screen, the more the jitter interferences happens. when my pen is right on the screen(no acrylic layer), no jitter happens. and i think it has something to do with the lines per inch that my wacom can handle. The more the lpi of the wacom baord, the less jitter you will notice. I may not be correct though.
