I have been looking around this  forum and the internet in general.  What I found is that the casing material used in these DIY are either wood or plexiglas.

I also notice that remove the metallic pane behind the lcd is a must.

Here's my question.  Is it feasible to use aluminum as casing material?  Have anyone tried it, or thought about it?  Will it cause interference with the sensor board? (is it the same material as the metal pane in the monitor).

If anyone tried it, what was the result?

I'm asking because I'm thinking about harvesting an old desktop tower case.  The tablet I'm trying to tackle is an Intuos 4XL.  I got it used for $450.

After some measurement, I think a 23 to 24 inch screen should work.  I want to maximize usable space.

Thanks

So, anyone have an idea?

Do you know if aluminum case will cause interference with the sensor board?

It will be a shield to the feq.
Shielded cables are wrapped in foil. Similar effect.

I also wrap my head in tin foil to protect myself from mind control attempts by aliens. It works.
