Just learned that Wacom now have a Cintiq + Touch 24HD  and a "smaller" 22 inch Cintiq.

...High price tag as usual.

I was unbelievably disappointed when I got the newsletter this morning.

They had sent out a survey a while ago, and I assume most people feel the way I do, they need to get much, much, much more competitive with their prices.

Also, there is an obvious and real need for a ~16-17 inch tablet that fits in the 1k-1.2k price range.

Oh, and almost $4,000 for the touch 24HD? Ludicrous. Guess I should stop expecting an improvement!

Besides, who cares, I'll be done with my own < $200 12.5" cintiq in a couple days anyway :-)

And what about that Cintiq Companion?

I was really considering that option, instead of a power laptop, but I realized that its specifications were a bit outdated.
3rd generation i7 instead of 4th....
8GB RAM instead of 16GB....
Integrated graphics card....
One good thing though is that it has an SSD drive.

What are your thoughts on this?

All the specs sound good except for its lack of a radeon or GeForce. It would be an awesome package. Well, with a 500 dollar price drop.
