Do i need to have the small board that has the touch bar and buttons on a 12 x 19 wacom intuos 3 for it to work properly or can I just get away with not removing them and have the device still work properly?

Hmmm......I feel like this question has been asked before by someone?

Oh yes, here we go - http://forum.bongofish.co.uk/index.php?topic=2252.0

I know it's not the Intuos 3 but it might be useful. My suggestion is to try it, it shouldn't do any damage.

I have done it on my Intuos3 build. And I have taken them off. It works perfectly fine.
