I have the above model touchsmart laptop, which I liked, then I found there is a soldering defect that affects the video chip, so now it doesn't work. I've decided not to have it fixed as I managed to transfer the HD contents, and I've been advised that the fixes are all temporary. However, I'm wondering if I can salvage the touchscreen part of it to use it as a digitizer tablet with other laptops, pc's. Can anyone assist with information as to the feasibility, or has anyone hacked the touchscreen to the same purpose? Any help would be much appreciated.
