Well I got an iPad 3 LCD really cheap from AliExpress (30$, free shipping Tongue) and a Intuos 3 A5 for 20€ so I thought why not build a cintiq clone? Grin
I also bought the well-known abusemark iPad LCD to DP adapter board (28€) and then the waiting game begun.
After about 3 weeks I was the proud owner of a gorgeous little screen  Cheesy

And after a few nerve-wrecking minutes of screen-stripping

I got a working tablet \o/

I still have to cut the metal backplate to size to cool the LEDs as they get pretty hot relatively fast and to shield the electronics as I got some jitter on the top and bottom (more on the top where the electronics are and a bit on the bottom because of the backlight).
Next thing will be to disassemble the Wacom tablet and to find something suitable to put in front of the screen Smiley

Looking great.. these are quick and cheap to build..and the resolution is awesome in retina..

Just too small for me to work on.. But both my Daughters like them.. and they are great being portable.. also no power supply needed..

I do have the parts to build a few more. just need to get some time..I can throw one of these together in about 2 hours finished now....But,  just like the big big oversize builds ..

 thanks woodguy32
