He he.  I did a Portal / Dali thing for PC gamer issue 184.   The editor was over at Valve and showed them my stuff.

I had am email from Doug Lombardi asking if they could print one to stick up on the office wall.

Pleased me that did. Grin

Not there I'm afraid.  It was a straight commision so it was never on there.   They want "the girl with the pearl earring" for the next one so I'll have to yoink it or stick a big copyright watermark on it.

Done for some friends going to 'Burning Man'.   They're going as the "Bomb Bay Tea Company", and it put me in mind of the victorian tea clippers, so I did a steampunk take on it.

I made it to print up to 40" x 30" (Yes the original is 4961 x 3508) from my deviantart page.

I'm in the middle of building an airship in 3d, wasn't planning any sails on that one but I might change my mind.

He is writing a steampunkish novel.

Oh Yes. I do like a bit of victorian anachronism, especially the stuff with more of a sense of humour.

For instance one of the guys on the brass goggles forum is building himself a victorian space helmet, but, and this is important, it's tall enough for him to wear a top hat in it.  That appeals to my sense of humour.

Turning my build a bit more wood-and-brass is on my enormous list of stuff to do. I'd love to see on done with that style.
