Config programs for writing diffetent modes and setting to tablets
These need to be run under DOS. The XP command prompt seem to make them unstable

UD series ftp://ftp.wacom-europe.com/pub/DOS/UDCONFIG.ZIP]
SD series ftp://ftp.wacom-europe.com/pub/DOS/WACONFIG.ZIP

It's because the DOS programs can't get hardware-level access to the COM ports from within Windows. You should boot from a floppy into pure DOS and run them.

I have an app I was sent by Wacom support which can re-flash GD- and XD-series tablets (to different sizes, etc) if you kill your tablet like I did Tongue I can forward this little DOS app to anyone who needs it.

I was able to read out values from the table in a command prompt under XP but only intermittently. Also it was running the UDconfig in Win95 compatability mode.
I ended up creating Win98 boot image on a DVD with the UDconfig and Wtest on.

@ya3. Could you send me a copy of that prog you got from Wacom, please. I haven't killed anything yet but it's be interesting to take a peek at.

Here's an idea, what about FreeDOS?

My Fuji bootable flash CD was FreeDOS and a Flash programmer.

UD config to fit on a bootable floppy.  There's probably stuff you don't need in there.   I just removed things till it fitted.

Does the UD config program offer something different than the UD driver that Wacom provides?  Huh

Thanks,
Nick

Does anyone have the DOS program for flashing the ROM of GD series tablets? I just bought a dead tablet that I am trying to revive, looking at the condition of the tablet it is a long shot but you never know.

I got the utility for flashing the GD and XD series tablets from ya3 but it seems to be only for serial tablets, the one I have is a USB tablet. Is there anyway of reflashing USB tablets?
