Well, i'm new  Grin
I'm a "hobby" photoshopping guy Roll Eyes and i wanna do some more drawing on my computer
and i've had a drawing tablet for a while now... a medion or something
(<< old, doesn't work really good Tongue, thats why its not used alot anymore, and lost the pen  :'()

so i was looking for a nice one and i discovered the Wacom site.
and i almost fainted when i saw the cintiq, its just awesome!!!!
then i fainted again when i saw the price  Angry :'(

So i went looking here and there on the internet and came along this site, since then i've
been wanting to make a cintiq myself  Grin, but i'm not really the "technical" guy....
luckely my dad is, so i'm hoping he can help me Tongue

I'm thinking of buying a cheap tablet, maybe a second hand wacom 12x9 or 12x12 or something.
And i think i'll buy a working laptop screen, or should i buy a lcd screen? wasn't planning on going
larger then 15inch

Do you guys have any advice for me how to make my cintiq fast, good and cheap?  Cheesy

getting a wacom tablet is a good idea. as for the screen the "easiest" would be from a working desktop LCD.  if yon decide to go with a laptop screen, yon need to get an LVSD since laptops don't have a separate control board to take out; they hare their own proprietary connections to the laptop instead of the standard vga and power connections.

Go for a combination of monitor that's worked before and has a build log or two.
Use a Wacom tablet, If you seriously look at buyiong on US ebay.  They're a lot cheaper over there, even with shipping and import tax.   Be patient, don't try to rush buying (you'll end up spending more than you need to), don't rush building, you'll end up breaking monitors.
