Hi there,

When I started buiding my Cintiq, I came across some problems.
So this is not realy a build log, but more a question (for now)
If people are intrested, I could post some more picts of my project progress.

I'm using a Philips 150B1 as a screen (I got it for free!), and a Wacom 12x12 digitizer tablet I bought for 25 euro's.

But like I said: I have a problem!
The ffc is too short, so I can't move the screen on to the active area of the tablet.
Here are some pictures to explain:

Is there a way to make an extension cable? Or are the people with brilliant ideas?
Here is a movie made with my cellphone, showing it in action:

Hi Kopingraaz. welcome.
25 euros is a bargain !!

I don't think they'd use a nonstandard connector on a PCB, so it must be possible to get an extension for it from somewhere.

Is it 2 rows of 50 connectors? and how wide is it?
Could you post the red circled part of the first picture at true res.  It might help to identify it

A 25 euro Cintiq is very cheap indeed!  Grin, I got lucky on a Dutch Ebay look-a-like

It is 2 rows of 50 connectors and it's 26mm wide

Here is a picture that's clearer than the first picture I think:

I've got Gerhard from Diy-beamer.com looking into it. He's going to ask his supplier if thay can come up with an extension.

Hopefully Gerhard will find one!
I'll try to take some better mesures asap, but I'm really busy with my schoolwork right now

Does that screen have a manufacturers label on it?  If it does could you post a picture of the label?

Thanks!
I took a look at that site for a moment, and some seem to be very close, but I'm not sure. Think I'll write them an e-mail with some pictures.
Besides that I took some pictures of about all of the labels on the lcd:
