Hey guys,

I've been doing a lot of searching, as I intend to make a 22" sim-tiq with a 12x18 tablet, and I came across this company that makes new LCDs with external power supplies!

http://www.x2gen.com/

The specs on the 22" are fantastic!

# 5ms response time
# 1,000:1 contrast ratio; 500cd/m2 brightness
# 1680 x 1050 maximum resolution delivers 16.7 million colors; 160° horizontal and vertical viewing angles
# Connectors: VGA and DVI-I inputs
# Includes attached stand, VGA cable, sound cable, power adapter, manual and warranty card
# Dimensions: 8"l x 20.4"w x 16.5"h
# Weight: 15.4 lb.

And I'm not sure in the rest of the world, but there's a place near me that sells them for $230. If I can get my hands on a 12x18, this will be my first purchase immediately thereafter.

EDIT: These may not be good monitors to use, as I believe one has been added to the bad monitors list.

WAIT! Before you go with these, search on the forum. I think someone added the 19" to the bad monitors list, and I'd be inclined to expect that the 22" might have the same problems.

I found an x2gen 15.4" with external...so I might go with that and try it out if it comes cheap...I'd rather have a smaller screen (like the 15.4) so it is a bit more mobile incase I want to add a laptop to it...(If thats possible....)

Thanks again for the heads up!
