when stripping monitors and handling the bits there are some particularly delicate bits to look out for.

The flourescent tubes are very very fragile.  Any twisting or bending and they will break.
replacements can be found on ebay but better not to need one really innit?

Likewise an inverter often has a couple of coils mounted on the surface.  The mountings on these are fragile and they break very easily.  They can be resoldered and hot glued into place if they do come adrift.   The soldering isn't easy mind because of the size and angles of the tabs, so if you do solder them and have a good electrical contact (the lamps work),  it might be as well to hotglue them as well to prevent them coming adrift again.
